Fractional CFO for Startups

I’m a Fractional CFO and financial strategist focused on helping founders align their company’s trajectory with their personal vision of success. Through The Lean Finance framework, I work with startups to define meaningful long-term goals, translate them into actionable financial targets, and create systems to stay on track—month by month, quarter by quarter.

With over a decade of experience across biotech, MedTech, SaaS, and fintech, I bring clarity to complex decisions. My approach combines deep financial modeling expertise with a structured operating rhythm that helps teams focus, adapt, and move forward with confidence.
At the heart of The Lean Finance is a simple principle:

"You can’t grow well if you’re growing in the wrong direction."
We start by identifying where the founder wants to be—not just the business, but the life behind it. Then we map a corporate roadmap built on that vision, supported by a living financial model. Each month, we review results, investigate deviations, and define focused, often non-financial, next steps to bring the business back in sync with the founder’s goals.
What sets me apart isn’t just technical precision—it’s how I think and how I work. I’m calm, direct, and detail-driven. I ask the right questions, challenge gently but clearly, and help founders make decisions with intention—not just momentum.
I hold an FMVA certification from the Corporate Finance Institute, and AFM from Financial Modeling Institute, speak English, German, and Russian, and live in Vienna with my wife. I founded The Lean Finance to help entrepreneurs build not just better companies—but better lives through them.
